ROSEMONT, IL – Eat, drink and be merry this holiday season at Hofbräuhaus Chicago, located in Rosemont’s MB Financial Park. The first and only German micro-brewery, restaurant and beer hall in the Chicago area will celebrate the holiday season with special menus for Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. Guests can find unique holiday gift items, traditional German holiday fare, seasonal monthly beers and a enjoy festive New Year’s Eve celebration waiting for them this holiday season at Hofbräuhaus Chicago.
To celebrate the season of giving thanks, Hofbräuhaus Chicago guests can celebrate Thanksgiving or “Erntedankfest” Thursday, Nov. 27 with a three-course special menu including sausage strudel served with HB beer gravy and “Truthahnbraten” roast turkey served with cranberry sauce, mashed potatoes, corn bread and pretzel stuffing. For dessert, guests can enjoy traditional pumpkin pie served with cinnamon whipped cream.
Executive Chef Klaus Lotter will prepare authentic four-course German “Weihnachten” menus for the entire family to enjoy on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. Both holiday menus include “Rahmschwammerl” sautéed wild mushrooms served atop pretzel dumpling slices, sautéed green beans and “Rote Grütze,” a classic wild berry dessert served with warm vanilla sauce.
The main course on Christmas Eve will be half roast duck served with potato dumplings, apple-sage stuffing and red cabbage. Christmas Day, guests will be treated to a roasted Christmas tower including roast duck, apple-sage stuffing, beef sauerbraten with root vegetables, house-made Spätzle and braised red cabbage.
