This famous restaurant is part of the new Skokie Commons Shopping Center, will be located at the northwest corner of Touhy Ave. and McCormick Boulevard, former home to the Klein Tools factory. The Skokie shopping center will be house of Mariano’s Fresh Market grocery store. The 6,282-square-foot restaurant will seat more than 240 guests and will create approximately 80-100 new jobs.

Known for a “Passion for Grilling” fresh, tender, juicy steaks, LongHorn Steakhouse offers guests the widest variety of cuts and numerous preparations, including its signature bone-in Outlaw Ribeye– all served in a relaxed, warm atmosphere inspired by the American West and is reminiscent of a rancher’s home. LongHorn Steakhouse operates more than 475 restaurants in 40 states. LongHorn Steakhouse aims to be America’s Favorite Steakhouse and prides itself on its fresh, never frozen, expertly grilled and boldly seasoned steaks.

Normally, the hours are: 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Sunday through Thursday; 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. Friday and Saturday. And the most popular items are, for example, Bone-in Outlaw Ribeye ($24.99) for 18 ounces and Porterhouse for 2 ($42.99).

The Prime Time menu features late afternoon specials, including a variety of $3, $4 and $5 drinks and appetizers. Prime Time is offered Monday through Friday from 4 to 7 p.m.

The decor with rich woods and images of cowboys and horses everywhere is mandatory… I think so. A recommendation because the restaurant doesn't take reservations: Be patient because maybe you need wait for at least 45 minutes… at least.
